A pelvic ultrasound is a noninvasive diagnostic exam that produces images that are used to assess organs and structures within the female pelvis. A pelvic ultrasoundallows quick visualization of the female pelvic organs and structures including the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes and ovaries. (Thanks Joh Hopkins Medicine for my Google search result).
My recent sonogram result was negative with any suspicious tumors. But it was positive for fibroids which is the story of my female structure world. It does help explain my monthly back pains, lower abdomen cramps, and excessive amount of flow. Fibroids and endometriosis also heightened my pain tolerance. Sometimes I feel like a younger Manny Pacquiao is using my ovaries as a speed bag.
Glad there was no additional cancer news to share.
