My personal journal with breast cancer #NotHer2

Welcome to Not Her2, my personal journal of my experiences since being diagnosed with breast cancer. I want to use this platform as an opportunity to help educate and inspire my readers. Hopefully we can fight to end breast cancer and we can stop saying,  "Not her too!"

Energy level

When you have energy, exercise and get that body moving. Although I wasn’t on the bike for the whole class, I still taught and rode with an energetic, fun, and supportive group of 24 Hour Fitness members in Pacific Beach. It was a full 8 am Saturday (3/2/19) morning class. And boy were they challenged with a few heavy climbs, a handful of intervals, a couple of Tabata intervals, and a sprint to the finish.

Lina (the gal over my left shoulder) is pregnant. Leah at the top (near the fan with a pink collar) has also recently battled something herself. I am grateful for these members especially for pushing me as much as I push them.

Yes I braved the gym! But it felt amazing to be on a bike and teach. And yes I paid close attention to my energy level so I coached off the bike (which I’ve been told is more challenging) because I walk around and ask to challenge themselves by adding on to their tension.

If I can, I will.

It all started with my annual mammogram on 11/2/2018. Then a second mammogram and ultrasound was done on my left breast on 11/30/2018....
