My personal journal with breast cancer #NotHer2

Welcome to Not Her2, my personal journal of my experiences since being diagnosed with breast cancer. I want to use this platform as an opportunity to help educate and inspire my readers. Hopefully we can fight to end breast cancer and we can stop saying,  "Not her too!"

This is the machine I’ve been laying on every weekday. This photo was taken after my treatment (3/25). The team sets it up to be as comfortable as it can be for me and any patient. There’s usually a blanket to lay on and a warm one to cover me once I’ve laid down. At my head and shoulders I lay on a mold where I’m positioned to have my hands above my head. They also place the pad in the photo underneath my knees for additinal comfort especially on my lower back.

The nurses line up my tattoo dots with the green laser lines (you’ll see one of them on that pad for my knees).

The following link is for this great equipment to provide more information and details for those that are curious about it.

As I’m about to publish this today, I’m sitting in the waiting room for my 10/25 treatment.

My gratitude and appreciation for all the prayers, check ins, positive vibes, love, and gifts. I made it this far because of all of you.
