Echocardiogram isn’t an EKG

This is a sample of what my echocardiogram was like today. One serious side effect of Herceptin, which is one of the antibodies in my round 2 treatment plan, can damage my heart and its ability to pump blood effectively. So during my treatments I’ll be getting these echocardiograma regularly.

What does the echocardiogram do? It measures:

- my heart size

- pumping strength of my heart

- valves and aorta

- heart flows
