And the MRI results are in

For those of you that needed an image of what my position was like during my MRI visit last week, this is a great image to share. And the vision I need to have now is to stay strong, positive, and soar.

Dr. Barone called me this evening at 6 pm to give me the MRI results...

There were additional nodes that showed abnormalities in my left armpit. He’s recommending another ultrasound and if the abnormalities show up there as well then they’ll do a biopsy. He‘s also referring me to a medical oncologist at his office so that I can begin chemo therapy.

He asked about my genetic testing appointment. When I told him that my appointment isn’t scheduled until March 7th, he had the same reaction as Mark of frustration and disappointment that it’s over a month away. I did request for the earliest appointment they have available between their 2 locations. And tonight I emailed the genetics lab to keep me in mind should an opening become available before my scheduled appointment. I was advised that I am my best advocate. Along with my patience, I follow up when I have to.

To be honest, I got in my car after the call and had to have a cry. I called my mom. She offered to come see me tonight for a healing touch prayer. But I wanted to absorb what I had heard and let myself feel so I didn’t take up her offer. I did take up her offer of prayers and including me with her prayer group. I believe prayers and any communication to my God (Higher Power) are heard. For all the prayers everyone is doing...THANK YOU!
