The five-hour long treatment included having my hands and feet in ice to help with neuropathy (numbness and tingling of my extremities) which is a side effect of Taxol.
On Friday the common side effect of these drugs, which I was forewarned, started to happen. Luckily the rest room was nearby and I was prepared with OTC drugs. I also asked my mom to get me some applesauce and Gatorade. We had the rest of the BRAT diet to get some food in my system until the anti-diarrhea meds started to work.
My tastebuds are all messed up. I can’t really taste any food and my tongue feels like a brillo pad and quite tingly. I eat small portions or snacks throughout the day.
Water is still very essential and I drink at least 2 liters a day. Now I have to drink more since I use the restroom more often.
The great thing about this time around is I wasn’t on the couch or in bed ALL DAY SUNDAY. I did have to take naps but I had some good energy. Game of Thrones kept me intrigued Sunday night.

You got this my friend... one treatment at a time! You look amazing! I know everything will be great! Give yourself time! I am so excited the tumor is much smaller! Woohoo! #Bemorethanpink
