This is what I posted on IG but I also wanted to list my doctors that have been a part of this journey.
My gratitude goes out to these special group of superheroes that is trying to save lives (including mine) on a daily basis especially during these extraordinary times of uncertainty. 🥼 🩺 #superheroesinscrubs #nationaldoctorsday2020 #NotHER2 #fcancer🥊 #notfightingalone #stayhome #covid19willnotwin
Dr. Cohen - My OBGYN who had me take my first (baseline) mammogram at age 36. I though, like many others, that I had to wait until 40. He said at the time there was no requirements to wait medically or with insurance. He added that it’s best to have a baseline while still healthy so that there’s something to compare it to.
Dr. McFeeters - PCP and I’ve had a couple others in the practice that were my PCP (Dr. Wilson and Dr. Thayer) who were much older than Dr. McFeeters. I’ve been a patient with their practice for probably over 30 years. Yes, my file is thick.
Dr. Shenoy - Medical Oncologist who’s in charge of all my chemotherapy.
Dr. Barone - Surgical Oncologist and I was initially referred to by Dr. Cohen. He contacted me with the diagnosis from my biopsy with the stage and type.
Dr. Jabbari - Radiation Oncologist in charge of all my radiation treatments.
Dr. Halls - Plastic Surgeon with great artistry especially when it comes to sewing the incision. It’s seamless!
Radiology Physician - I don’t have his name at this moment. I’d have to look through my records and will update this once I find it. He deserves to be on this list. He did a great job with walking me through that emotionally frightening experience. He put me at ease.
