The surgery went well. I ended up with a Jackson-Pratt drain again with the same recovery instructions from my mastectomy:
-No driving for 2 weeks
-While on pain meds, do not make any life changing decisions
-No lifting for 6-8 weeks
- Sleep in a 30-45 degree angle
- Do not raise my arms above shoulder level until the drain is out
- sleep on my back
-get lots of rest
-no shower for 2 weeks
There may be some things I may have forgotten but those are the important ones that I embedded in my memory.
My expander was filled with 420 cc of saline to make room for the 465 cc gel implant.
